CONDITION - this suit was only out on one hire but came back with a bad nail mark on chest, neck and multiple nail marks which the customer repaired on the shoulders and back. There is a scuff on the knee. (Please see photos)
The Athlex Flow wetsuit achieves a perfect balance between elasticity and buoyancy. High-elasticity materials are incorporated in the upper body, while buoyancy technologies are featured in the legs. These technologies allow the swimmer to correct their position in the water, achieving a more hydrodynamic posture.
39+: The increased flexibility of Yamamoto 39 neoprene, combined with the high elasticity of Inifinty Skin 2 lining, provides open water swimmers with maximum freedom of movement. Thanks to this combination, 35% less force is required in fast movements than in conventional neoprene. For slow movements and wider strokes, 45% less force is required than in conventional neoprene. SCS coating also helps reduce friction and water resistance, improving hydrodynamics and increasing speed.
39 FS: Elasticity, maximum flexibility and total freedom of movement are brought together thanks to the combination of Yamamoto 39 neoprene, Infinity Skin 2 lining and Smoothskin surface finish. With this combination, the open water swimmer will use 35% less force in fast movements and short strokes, while slower and wider movements will require 45% less force than any other conventional neoprene.
Aerodome: This new technology, applied to the lower body, gives the swimmer 30% more buoyancy. The secret is in its construction: there are hundreds of pockets located between two layers of pre-treated neoprene. Unlike Exo-lift, the inner layer of this material is composed of a high-quality lining that gives the neoprene more elasticity. Orca utilizes this material in specific areas, depending on the needs of the swimmer, in order to facilitate proper rotation.
Ex-hire wetsuits are graded: As New, A, B & C. This is based on the condition of the wetsuit and will not affect the overall performance.
As New – Almost as good as new. In very good condition with no tears or damage.
Grade A – Wetsuits will have the odd mark, nick or possible slight cosmetic marks/ damage (e.g. fingernail marks, fading).
Grade B – Has large fingernail tears or surface tears which need to be repaired by neoprene glue.
Grade C – Has multiple tears, severe discolouration and damage to the neoprene.
