Adventure Awaits...
Back in 2018 we launched Tri Wetsuit Hire. Sarah, the Founder, bought 30 wetsuits, set up a warehouse distribution (aka a cupboard at some co-working office space) and started hiring the wetsuits at the local lake. Sarahs mission was to make triathlon more accessible, affordable & sustainable. Encouraging people to go out there and pursue their boundaries.
The wetsuit hire ‘caught a wave’ (pardon the pun) and the business grew both locally visiting local lakes and nationally offering online nationwide hire.
As the Summer business grew. Sarah knew she needed revenue in the Winter to turn the business into a full year round and allow her to focus on the business full time. So she then set up Turbo Trainer Hire applying the same mission as the wetsuit hire- making the hire offering affordable, flexible and sustainable. Challenging the traditional retail model with a unique hire offering. Turbo Trainer Hire was given a boost in the Covid years as people were looking to train indoors on a turbo trainer.
Quickly following, Sarah then launched Kids Bike Trailer Hire, Bike Box Hire, Paddle Board Hire applying all the learnings. Finally, the business had enough revenue all year around allowing Sarah to quit her day job, focus on the business full time, open up a shop and recruit its first full time employees.
In 2022 Snow Clothing Hire launched which brought significant volume and growth to the business working with Schools nationally.
Fast forward to January 2025, the business was operating with 4 websites: Tri Wetsuits Hire, Turbo Trainer Hire, Kids Bike Trailers and snow Clothing Hire. It became apparent the business needed to merge together to offer all the product categories in 1 place, one brand, one website: a new adventure begins - Adventure Kit Hire launched
