Our top Burley Trailer FAQs

We have a compiled a list of our top Burley Trailer FAQs

1. Does the Jogger Kit work with the Burley Bee and Honey Bee?

The Jogger Kit is not compatible with the Burley Bee and Honey Bee because this trailer only has one tow bar receiver. The Jogger Kit requires two, one on each side of the trailer. The Encore X, D'Lite X, and Cub X are the only trailers that are compatible with the Jogger Kit.

2. Are you able to use a Burley Double Trailer for just 1 child?
Yes, a Burley Double is perfectly stable with just one passenger. If there is a single passenger in a double trailer, our recommendation is to seat the child on the side so they are furthest away from traffic.

3. Does the Burley D'Lite X have more space than the Encore X?
Yes. The Burley D'Lite X is noticeably roomier than the Encore X, particularly for older children or two passengers sitting side by side.

The D'Lite X offers around 4.5 inches (11.7 cm) more shoulder room, which makes a significant difference when carrying two larger children. The sides of the trailer bow outwards, creating extra elbow and shoulder space that the Encore X doesn't have.

It also has a larger rear cargo area (55L vs 40L), giving you more room for bags, picnic gear, waterproofs, or shopping.

4. Which is the biggest Burley Trailer?

The Burley Cub X is the largest and most spacious child trailer in Burley’s range. Designed for families who want maximum comfort and storage, it offers the same roomy interior and reclining seats as the D'Lite X, but with a more rugged hard-shell base for added durability. The Cub X also features 55 litres of cargo space and a 100 lb (45 kg) total carrying capacity, making it ideal for longer adventures and carrying extra gear.

For families looking for the most passenger room, the Burley D'Lite X Double and Cub X share a similarly spacious cabin with extra shoulder and elbow room, while the Cub X adds a tougher chassis and slightly heavier-duty construction.
